Our New Year’s Resolutions!

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to say THANK YOU to all our local families and friends who have made this such a fantastic year at Bounce N Play! It’s been such a honor and blessing to watch your children grow up in front of our eyes, and see families make memories that will last a life time.

As we head into the New Year, we begin thinking about our goals and wishes for the upcoming year. At Bounce N Play, we have a few of our own that we’d like to share!

  • Give back to our community. This is something we always feel is important. We look for every opportunity to help the local community in any way we can!
  • Provide great service. Not that we don’t already, but we want you to leave feeling like you had a personalized and unique experience with us that you won’t get anywhere else!
  • Have more FUN! It’s all too easy for us to get wrapped up in our busy lives; so one of our goals in the New Year is to encourage our friends and families to let loose! Bounce N Play is a great place to de-stress and spend quality time with the people you love.

So what can you look forward to at Bounce N Play in the New Year? To start, we have a ton of great birthday party packages, all of which include a personalized theme for your child! We also have a ton of fun attractions, and open-play time throughout the week.

Health Benefits for Kids

Most adults know how important exercise is for their overall health. There are not only weight loss benefits, but improved stamina, memory, and a better outlook on life. What some adults may not realize is just how important exercise is for their children. Bounce house with kids

A study by kidshealth.org showed that kids who exercise regularly will have “stronger muscles and bones, a leaner body as exercise will help control body fat, they will be less likely to become overweight in the future, have a decreased rick of developing type 2 diabetes, have lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and an improved outlook on life.”

At Bounce N Play in Astoria, New York, we completely agree with these statistics, and want to help combat the epidemic of childhood obesity and depression. Our bounce house and various inflatables will make for a fun time for kids of all ages, and we are reasonably priced. We often offer special rates and special activities, so your children will not even know they are exercising! We make exercise fun for them, and stress-free for you.

Do your kids prefer some other activity to bouncing? We have a variety of options including our rock climbing wall, jungle gym, dancing, and games that can strengthen the heart all while becoming healthy! We also welcome your child on their birthday, so all of their friends can experience health benefits of our inflatables too. We have healthy food options for your child’s party, such as our veggie tray that serves about fifteen people, and various entrees that serve up to 15 people as well.

3 Tips For Moms

Here at Bounce N Play in Astoria, New York, we mostly see children from about age three or four to about age twelve or thirteen. Our facility is geared toward a slightly older crowd when it comes to kids, as they must be at least steady enough on their feet to compensate for the delightful unsteadiness of an inflatable. We do occasionally see, however, a mother or father of a child in our target age-range with a younger child in tow. They often look sleep-deprived, and maybe even a little frazzled, so we wanted to offer some helpful tips from other parents that have been there before (just in case you forgot.) Mom with baby

1. Don’t sweat the small stuff

Will it matter in an hour, or a day, or a week? Getting upset is a human reaction and a part of life, but do not let it steal the precious time with your child. Be sure to focus on the bigger picture, and try not to let the little (inevitable) infractions bother you.

2. Ask for help

Do not think this makes you weak, or less of a mom. No one expects you to be Wonder Woman, and you will only stress yourself out if you try to be. Ask your spouse, parent, friend, or even neighbor to help you watch your child, clean your house, or make a meal for you. You may be surprised how willing people are to help!

3. Don’t Forget to Have Fun

You have probably heard it a dozen times, but your kids won’t be kids forever. Be sure to enjoy the time you have with them while they are young, and have fun with them! You are creating memories that will last a lifetime, and teaching your child important life lessons along the way!
